FloSports is leading the way in establishing a world-class digital streaming experience for millions of fans, families, and athletes in 20+ under appreciated sports. We’re continuing to advance our digital-first platform that serves live events from around the world, across devices, with interactive features and real time analytics, as well as original content, and owned & operated events. And more is in the works!

The growing Corporate Development team focuses on evaluating and executing acquisitions and investments that matter to FloSports’ long-term value and our mission to grow our sports every day. We are a lean team who works very closely with the senior leadership team and other senior leaders across the organization. Our mandate is to identify and execute on our inorganic priorities and to ensure efficient deployment of our capital to meet our long-term strategic and financial objectives.

We’re looking for a multi-faceted, product-minded professional to help grow our Corporate Development group. The team is small and collaborative, we wear many hats, and this role requires deep focus, wide-ranging analytical skills, and collaboration. The right person for this role should be based in or prepared to join the team in Austin, Texas.


  • Partner with our priority verticals’ subject matter experts and FloSports leaders to lead the ideation, evaluation, execution, and integration of new acquisitions and investments.
  • Build relationships with colleagues across engineering, product, business intelligence, content, marketing, and finance.
  • Play a lead role in identifying, prioritizing, and developing emerging product and business ideas for our priority sports.
  • Create company, executive, and board-facing strategic narratives, memos, and presentations that empower the organization to make informed decisions on key strategic issues
  • Perform deep dives on one or more of our sports, or a potential new market, evaluating white space business, product, and acquisition/partnership opportunities
  • Synthesize external and internal research in partnership with leadership, product, and SMEs to construct and communicate long-term inorganic strategy
  • Analyze internal and external competitive intelligence to establish thought leadership on the future state of the digital sports-media industry and specific verticals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 2+ years of quality work experience, including backgrounds (combinations welcome) in investment banking, business intelligence, private equity and/or venture capital
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with intermediate to extensive financial modeling experience, which can include developing operating cases and forecasting, M&A, partnerships, sizing of marketplace opportunities, et al
  • A general understanding of FloSports’ market, sports, and competitive positioning
  • Self-starter who is comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth, and often ambiguous environments
  • Strong analytical capabilities; able to analyze and derive insights from raw, financial, product and subscriber cohort data
  • Exceptional written and communication skills; Bonus points for experience writing narratives and/or memos and briefs
  • Proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners to solve hard problems
  • Understand markets, competition, and how to leverage core competencies to create defensible strategies
  • Unique perspective or experience that will complement the existing team

Nice to Have and/or Excited to Learn

  • (Huge Plus) Experience with data science tools and applications, including SQL, Python, Mode Analytics, Periscope Data, Tableau, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.
  • Experience in a high growth technology company + experience in Corporate Development (M&A)
  • Experience in Product Management
  • Experience in the digital, media, and/or digital sports media industries
