THE ROLE:

We are looking for a passionate marketing professional to lead our lifecycle and CRM efforts as Senior Director, Lifecycle Marketing. In this role, you will design, build and oversee the entire customer lifecycle journey for FloSports subscribers. Your mission will be to drive long-term engagement and loyalty among our subscriber base, thereby increasing our customer LTV and impacting the success of FloSports, overall.

As Senior Director, Lifecycle Marketing, you will build and lead a team of lifecycle marketers, establish and implement the strategy for all lifecycle marketing communication to subscribers, and drive deeper audience understanding for the business. A successful candidate has several years of experience managing lifecycle marketing programs for a customer-obsessed, growing subscription business. They will bring a proven track record of impacting customer behavior and LTV, and have deep experience leveraging customer insights to inform their strategy. This role will be based in Austin, Texas and will report directly to the CMO of FloSports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the lifecycle marketing function for FloSports, including email/CRM, in-app, push, cross channel programs, and related platforms
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, build roadmaps, and develop optimization loops across the customer lifecycle, with an emphasis on personalization and engagement
  • Develop and own the customer experience roadmap for automated, multi-channel lifecycle campaigns, from ideation to launch to optimization
  • Define goals, benchmarks, and KPIs for lifecycle marketing programs
  • Translate business objectives, product roadmap, content calendars, marketing strategy, channel requirements, and customer insights into comprehensive and targeted marketing programs for key segments of customers
  • Partner with BI and Insights teams to develop high value segmentation and audiences
  • Partner with Content and Creative teams to support the delivery of an outstanding customer experience and contribute to cross-functional business objectives
  • Partner with Product Marketing to develop a messaging strategy for each lifecycle stage of customers, leveraging data-driven insights to inform positioning and reinforcement
  • Continuously A/B test and optimize campaigns to drive incremental gains in conversion and retention
  • Develop reporting for leadership and stakeholders that quantify incremental results of lifecycle initiatives and justify tech investments
  • Partner with the Marketing Operations team to drive automation and operational excellence for relevant marketing platforms
  • Stay up to date on changing global privacy and compliance laws that impact marketing and customer communications
  • Converse thoughtfully and effectively with marketing leadership and senior leaders at the company

  • You know how to tailor a message for a specific audience. In fact, you might have had experience copywriting in a previous role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years marketing experience with at least 3+ years of people management experience
  • Experience building a high-impact team; growing the skills of a team, helping prioritize, motivate, and deliver results
  • Proven success designing, implementing and iterating on lifecycle marketing initiatives in a B2C, growing subscription business
  • Deeply familiar with engagement strategies and channels
  • Proven success working cross-functionally with internal business partners, including product marketing, content, and data analytics teams
  • Deep understanding of attribution methodologies and successful track record of measuring and delivering on performance targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting/speaking in front of senior leaders.
  • MS/MBA in Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Computer Science or related technical field is a plus
  • Previous work history in tech, media, or sports is a plus
