About the role:
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a team player with the ability to perform well in a very fast-paced environment. As a Technical System Test Manager, you'll be dedicating considerable amount of time for Hands on System Test activities in System Test Lab and remaining time for Team Leadership activities that include, Task assignments, collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, daily test status updates, develop and enhance existing test processes, attend all required meetings. This role require communication and interaction with multiple internal teams to ensure each module interacts properly with each other. What you will do
- Work independently, determines own priorities and provides functional / technical support to experienced colleagues.
- Technically indulge and work closely with System Test Engineers to Provide technical leadership and strategic direction..
- Work closely with hardware, software, system DVT, Program and Product management teams
- Balance product quality with Business needs
- Active participation in engineering forums: Review Technical documents, Product and Design specifications, provide feedback from system test prospective and develop detailed test plan and test strategy documents
- Analyse Data from Beta sites, understand field issue, provide impact analysis
- Lead bug triage discussions, provide the impact analysis of the issues found by the System Test Team, have consensus from stakeholders to fix the issues before releasing product to the field.
- Determine the automation opportunities to reduce the manual efforts
- Implement processes/procedures/tools to improve speed and efficiency of the team
Who you are and what you bring:
- BE or Masters in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, coupled with 12+ Years of solid System Test experience.
- Strong technical, managerial, presentation and communication skills coupled with adaptability and flexibility.
- Proven experience setting up Systems in the Lab and performing hands on test execution.
- Proven ability to effectively manage teams, prioritize tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to demonstrate initiative taken to improve test processes, increased test coverage by taking input from field application and customer support Teams.
- Desire and passion to change the world
- Understanding of energy storage, micro grid and renewable energy systems
- Must have working experience in any of technologies such as, Embedded Systems, IOT, Solar, EVSE, Battery Storage Systems.
- Must have experience working with international Teams across multiple time Zones.
- Hands on Experience working with Linux OS, Git and Jenkin.
- Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, DOORs
