About the role

 

We are looking for an experienced Pricing Manager to lead our pricing team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in pricing analysis, with a strong background in B2B pricing and expertise in Excel, Power BI, and Power Query in addition to Python, Pandas, and NumPy. This role will require exceptional analytical and data crunching and financial acumen. As well as the ability to craft compelling executive presentations and storytelling through PowerPoint.

What will you do

Pricing Strategy Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies for our products and services, with a focus on maximizing profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Pricing/Data/Deal Modelling and Analytics - Implement and build product and services pricing models. Provide costs and revenue control analysis and support. Develop pricing matrices/rate cards.
  • Analyse pricing data and market trends to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and margin improvement.

Market Pricing Intelligence:

  • Work closely with product marketing and country teams to gather and build an ecosystem of key pricing insights from customer perspective, competitor pricing strategy, and price gap across product portfolio.

Commercial Analytics:

  • Custodian for market, order, share, pricing, profitability metrics; orders and sales price index analytics. Build models and dashboards to organize, visualize, and disseminate data analysis/ insights to finance and operating teams. Manage financial models effectively (in excel/SQL, Incorta, Salesforce, Oracle, Anaplan, and other business intelligence tools) and independently initiate continuous improvement actions.

Pricing Programs:

  • Drive pricing programs; support the business with in-depth of understanding of pricing performance and key best practices that can be leveraged to drive price increases in the region. Lead price change and measurement initiatives by collaborating with commercial teams and business leadership.

Pricing Governance:

  • Establish optimal governance practices for pricing approvals and exception handling in collaboration with business and finance teams, price setting for new products and services, and systems and process that minimize price leakage.

Business Planning:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define pricing strategy, tactics, monitoring of its execution, and report in business planning cycle / Monthly reviews

Ad-hoc Projects: 

  • Participate in simplification projects to facilitate and to increase capacity for value-added financial analysis.
     

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage a team of pricing analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Data Analysis and Modeling:

  • Utilize advanced analytics tools such as Python, Pandas, and NumPy to conduct complex data analysis and modelling.
  • Develop predictive pricing models to forecast demand, evaluate pricing scenarios, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Executive Presentation and Storytelling:
  • Craft compelling executive presentations and storytelling narratives to communicate pricing strategies, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Translate technical analysis into clear, actionable insights that drive business outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives and go-to-market plans.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on pricing-related matters.

 

 

 

 

Who you are and what you bring:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in pricing analysis, with a focus on B2B ,services and B2C pricing.
  • Expertise in Excel, Power BI, and Power Query, as well as proficiency in Python, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent executive presentation skills and the ability to convey complex concepts through storytelling in PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of pricing strategies in the B2B context.
