About the role

We are looking for facilities building engineer to be responsible for the maintenance and improvements of our sites. You will be responsible for assessing the facility's requirements, designing, and optimizing the facility's critical operations systems, and overseeing the maintenance of equipment and infrastructure systems. As facilities engineer, you should be able to develop and implement utility plans, perform system evaluations, and establish operational efficiency.  You should have a strong knowledge of building support equipment/infrastructure systems, excellent project management and communication skills.  

What you will do
  • Evaluating building support systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve efficiencies.
  • Planning and coordinating infrastructure improvements, equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
  • Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance and improvement activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports.
  • Determining facility and equipment specifications and plans.
  • Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
  • Preparing reports and recommendations for continual improvements.
Who you are and what you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience as facilities engineer or in a similar role.
  • Extensive proficiency with MS Office.
  • Extensive experience of building processes and construction principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit, stand and climb ladders.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills.

The base pay range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 per year. This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
