In this role, you will lead a Systems team in developing the latest in energy technologies.

What you will do 
  • Serve as the hands-on central technical systems leader for cross functional teams including electrical hardware engineering, firmware engineering, and quality/ reliability groups
  • Participate in early-stage product development and ensure the successful capture of Design, Manufacturing, Test & Certification, and Service/ Repair requirements.
  • Lead documentation of Systems requirements for integrating into Engineering requirements and Marketing requirements.
  • Deliver new portable energy products on-time, within budget, and at expected quality and reliability levels to the customers
  • Guide daily engineering tasks including schedule, tracking the status and resolution of System level bug/issues until closed
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams to solve technical problems and provide rapid prototyping support on test bench with hands on experience with oscilloscopes, probes, power supplies, test equipment setups and thermal chambers. 
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop efficient methods for assembling and testing the products
  • In short, this role requires the candidate to roll up their sleeves and work with a sense of urgency on solving technical problems
Who you are and what you bring
  • 12+ years related experience + BS, 8+ years related experience + MS or 5+ yrs PhD degree in EE or ECE equivalent relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience or more in New Product Development (NPD) roles is plus
  • In depth experience in developing electronic products from concept to launch
  • In depth knowledge of electrical circuits that includes one or more of the following: RF circuits, digital circuits, analog circuits, control circuits, switching, power management
  • In depth understanding of system architecture and system design principles
  • Familiarity and experience with UL certification standards for electric consumer products
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering design, tool development, injection molding, and sheet metal parts manufacturing
  • In depth knowledge of NPD processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong team worker within multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments
  • Capable of clear, accurate and timely communication both written and verbal  
Desired Experience
  • Understanding of solar, energy storage, micro grid and renewable energy systems
  • Experience in Inverter, UPS, Power Electronic circuits design and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on Experience in handling the lab Electronic equipment
  • Knowledge in Lithium Ion based Energy storage systems, Battery management system
  • Experience in grid tied inverter validation and advance grid profile functions
