We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join our dynamic organization and play a crucial role establishing a brand new function to drive efficient procurement of solutions and services essential to our future business growth. You will be the sole individual dedicated to procurement at Egnyte, working closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure that our vendor relationships are strategically managed to deliver maximum value.

   

WHAT YOU’LL DO:   

  • As our first procurement hire, you will establish this new function from the ground up!
  • Identify and procure essential software/SaaS, cloud solutions, hardware, and IT services
  • Develop procurement policies to support strategic and financial goals, ensuring processes are well-documented and transparent
  • Engage with internal stakeholders across various departments, understand their procurement needs, and optimize a streamlined procurement request and approval process
  • Work closely with our Finance team, to correctly cost, code and manage an accurate listing of all software, hardware and services
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of vendor contracts, from initial negotiation to renewal, ensuring favorable vendor agreements, payment terms and pricing
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed on industry trends, pricing, and vendor performance to ensure we are getting the best value
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with vendor contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Provide regular updates to the Egnyte leadership on procurement activities, cost savings, and contract performance

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance or a related field
  • 8+ years experience in procurement related roles at high-tech companies
  • Previous experience negotiating for software licensing/subscriptions, cloud solutions, IaaS, PaaS, telecom, IT services, computer and network hardware, facility goods/services used across the entire company globally
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce costs significantly through effective research and negotiation
  • A self-starter capable of working with minimum supervision
  • History of successful vendor performance management and building vendors relationships
  • Expert knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures
  • Location: This is a hybrid role and will be office-based 3 days a week to enable close collaboration and teamwork. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of either Mountain View, CA, or Raleigh, NC. Remote applicants need not apply.

   

COMPENSATION:  

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $100k - $180k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
