Our Data Analytics team is the central hub for Egnyte’s data infrastructure and enables the business by providing data in multiple forms. The Analytics Engineering sub-team keeps its prime focus on the data itself but does so while employing software engineering standards (CI/CD, code reviews, version control, etc.) and best practices to maintain a high quality of delivered solutions.

You will help us model Egnyte’s data into our Semantic Layer, redistribute the data via reverse ETL processes, maintain our data at a high quality, and provide technical guidance to analysts and business users. As the Analytics Engineering Manager, you will lead and mentor the team, driving its growth and development. In this role, you will also lead the development and optimization of the semantic layer architecture. You will lead by example, working closely with your team members and staying actively involved in coding and technical implementations.

  • Collaborate across departments to apply our data strategy and corporate-wide data definitions that meet the demands of our fast-growing business
  • Take responsibility for delivering new data assets and enhancing the quality and functionality of existing ones

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the semantic layer architecture in dbt, ensuring accurate and efficient data modeling that supports business intelligence, insights, and analytical needs
  • Design, build, and validate data transformation pipelines to create data models
  • Oversee product management activities, including verifying and defining the scope for data products to ensure alignment with business objectives and user requirements
  • Document our data models, logic, and the raw data itself
  • Perform internal code & data reviews
  • Monitor our data and solve data quality issues
  • Lead initiatives to improve processes, enhance code quality, and increase the efficiency of project delivery across the team
