IT Manager
Description
We are currently looking for an experienced IT Manager to help us broaden our company and continue to grow within the Telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities:
- Be a working, hands-on manager.
- Must dive into problems and provide solutions.
- Be our go-to for security, network, server, hardware, and operating systems.
- Lead IT Department operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Work with end-users to implement simplification solutions.
- Provide strategic vision to organization around data utilization and data accessibility.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
- Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
- Keep current with the latest technologies.
- Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices by creating policy as it aligns to the ITW IT Security Policy & Standards
- Increase awareness to Cyber Security Threats to the network
- Monitor the Division’s networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
- Help to design, implement, and maintain the organization’s cyber-security plan.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information systems and 5+ years related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- 1-2 years experience in a management position
- Technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
- Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
- Proven experience as an IT Manager with ability to manage personnel
- ERP Operation and Support experience
- Communicates effectively across all departments within the company
- Hands on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
