Position Overview:

 
The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day HR functions and is the main point of contact for employees.
 
This is not a remote position.  Candidates must currently be willing to work a hybrid schedule of 4 days on-site and 1 day remote. Therefore, we are only considering candidates who live within a commutable distance from our Corporate Office.

Salary Range -  $48,717 - $60,896

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for staffing and onboarding of new employees for Corporate and Transportation, including preparation of new hire paperwork.
  • Daily employee interaction and floor presence: resolving issues, answering questions and working with employees and managers to encourage a culture of positive employee relations.
  • Helps recruiters schedule the screening and supervisor/managers' interviews.  Assists HR Manager with managing the internal hiring process.
  • Ensures that all policies are implemented and enforced consistently and fairly.
  • Provides updates and regular communication to HR manager on building activity and escalates issue in timely manner
  • Creates and maintains employee files and ensures all information is held in the strictest confidence.
  • Responsible for managing all CJL HR systems for areas of responsibilities including UltPro HRIS  and administrative tasks to provide proper and accurate data entry, maintenance, and reporting in a timely manner. 
  • Perform other related job duties as required, within the scope of training and expertise"

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 3-5 years of previous HR experience required
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and payroll management system required
  • Proven ability to conduct employee training required. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently required
  • Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
