Position Overview:
 

The National Account Executive is responsible for the profitable acquisition of new business and day-to-day management of National-Account customers for the Freight Brokerage business.  This will  include working with operational teams to ensure customer expectations are met as well as expansion of customer “share-of-wallet” through ongoing performance and relationship management.  

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • New customer acquisition to include those that have had no previous relationship with CJ Logistics America and affiliates,  or lapsed customers as defined by the VP of Brokerage and/or SVP of Transportation Use creative and persistent methods to prospect and generate new business opportunities
  • Ensure newly acquired business meets assigned service, profitability and account receivable requirements
  • Manage deals from initial partner contact to contract signing, launch and growth
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets and growth objectives
  • Work with Operational teams (Support, Execution and Operations) to support the customer to meet their needs as efficiently as possible
  • Refer non-Freight Brokerage leads as appropriate to peer Customer Development contacts
  • Work collaboratively in a positive and respectful manner with all Brokerage team members
  • Perform other related job duties as required, within the scope of training and expertise"
 
Requirements and Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics/Supply Chain or related field required
  • 10+ years of experience of transportation sales experience, primarily in new customer acquisition
  • Ability to bring in new customers
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales metrics and financial expectations
  • Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, aggressiveness and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Salary range - $178,349 $200,000
