Quality Assurance Supervisor (1st Shift)

Position Overview:
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for using business intelligence to produce information and insights that will deliver exceptional quality results in a CJ Logistics Distribution Center(s). The Quality Supervisor is accountable for alignment with portions of the Quality Management System and for maintaining control over the customer’s non-conforming product, including product traceability. The Quality Supervisor will collaborate with all warehouse departments and the customer to ensure all quality management issues are identified and resolved appropriately. In some operations, this role will also perform part, or all, functions of the Inventory Supervisor and/or Continuous Improvement Supervisor.
Pay Range: $60,306 - $75,382
1st Shift M-F 8 am to 4:00 pm
Position Responsibilities
Produce analyses and provide the information required by operations and the customer:
- Produce Logistics Center Quality Analyses
- Produce Logistics Center (LC) scorecard data and provide insight
Audit and oversee quality management activity:
- Maintain control and/or appropriate disposition of customer’s non-conforming product through process management, as well as alignment of status and quantity between physical, WMS, and Customer System
- May perform inventory status adjustments for non-conforming product
- Perform Quality audits and/or inspections
- Conduct investigations and recommend corrective action as quality issues are discovered
- Oversee quality hold and product traceability processes
- Conduct mock track and trace events
- Monitor and ensure compliance with key process outputs, events and dates
- Perform overages, shortages and damages (OS&D) detailed research and collaborate with Customer Service team
- Report metrics, process / systems controls, and effectiveness checks required for all inventory components
- Develop and maintain analytics to trend process data, isolate root causes, and uncover early indicators of quality problems
- Provide training recommendations to Operations Leadership
Operations Support
- Monitor adherence to leading practices in areas of responsibility
- Monitor and perform research on metrics for quality improvement
- Ensure alignment and execution of assigned portions of the facility Quality Management System
- Manage regulatory requirements including set up and preparation for audits
- Participate in and support safety committee activities
Manage the Quality Function for the Logistics Center
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations and results
- Coach and develop team to achieve company and individual goals
- Ensure analysts are delivering results Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 - 5 years of experience in operations
- Experience working with WMS, SAP and/or other inventory control systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Proven ability to analyze data and provide recommendations based on analysis
- Ability to work across a network and effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders
- Skilled in conveying information in understandable terms at all levels of the organization
- Objective and resilient when presenting findings and insights
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be willing to operate a forklift
