Shipping and Receiving Clerk - FMS (Bilingual Korean/English)

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing all aspects of the shipping and receiving processes within the warehouse. This role ensures that incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate, timely, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The clerk is also responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating with other departments, and assisting in inventory management.

Pay Range: $40-45K

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Unload, unpack, and process incoming goods.
  • Record and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Store items in designated locations within the warehouse.

Shipping

  •  Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to company standards.
  • Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
  • Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
Inventory Management:
  • Update inventory records in the warehouse management system.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Notify management of low stock levels or inventory discrepancies.
Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the warehouse team, purchasing department, and customer service to coordinate shipments and deliveries.
  • Address and resolve any shipping or receiving issues promptly.
  • Bi-lingual Korean/English
Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Need to know how to make and repair wooden crates and pallets.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
