About Corporate Groups
It takes a village, and at BioMarin our corporate groups are the people behind our success. Groups such as IT, Finance, Legal, Global Compliance & Ethics, and our People Team provide foundational support of all areas of operation at BioMarin.
- Key participant in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuing that product supply plans are in accordance with long-term profitability and cash-flow targets. Provide financial analysis & scenario modeling to support informed supply and network decision making.
- Optimize working capital utilization across BMRN’s commercial and clinical supply chain networks. Provide data-driven financial insights on historical activity and recommendations for last-mile distribution and general logistics spend.
- Partner with Supply Chain leadership to develop and deliver annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans, ensuring alignment with BioMarin’s strategic objectives.
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews, presenting performance analysis, identifying drivers of variances, and recommending actions for improvement.
- Drive process improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and business insight.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Commercial Finance, and Corporate Finance, to ensure cohesive financial planning and execution.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to supply chain efficiency, working capital, and cost optimization.
- Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in FP&A or financial analysis roles, with at least 3 years supporting supply chain, manufacturing, or operations functions, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
- Strong analytical skills, with expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and performance management.
- Proficient in ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan), with advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for senior management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of business partnering and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and cost accounting principles.
