Job Title:  Compensation Analyst

Department: Human Resources

Reports to:  Compensation Manager

Job Summary:

Canadian Solar is looking for an experienced Compensation Analyst to help drive the implementation and administration of our compensation programs. Under the direction of the Compensation Manager, supports the employee compensation function by preparing various reports and data to help job analyses, market reviews, and evaluations.  Collects and maintains data to ensure Canadian Solar can attract and retain high quality employees based on market trends. Supports the administration of salary increases and variable pay. Participates in ad hoc compensation projects as directed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Participates in industry salary surveys, including coordinating appropriate job matches, data compilation, and submission
  • Research compensation surveys, practices, and industry trends to identify process and organizational improvements
  • Studies the external market and internal factors to recommend base pay adjustment budgets; recommends adjustments to salary structures to ensure job pay structures are competitive
  • Helps administer annual merit, short-term incentive and long-term incentive programs
  • Ensures jobs are properly graded and establishes new jobs in SuccessFactors
  • Assists with expatriate-related processes and benefits tasks, working closely with our tax partner on tax equalization policy and practices
  • Identifies and assists in the execution of process improvements
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of related Compensation experience in analyst roles with understanding and experience in market and trends
  • Ability to effectively analyze compensation data and reports
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Must be customer-focused and demonstrate integrity and trust
  • Able to organize, plan, and problem solve
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment with colleagues and other employees
  • Advanced computer proficiency and technical aptitude using Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Identifies and assists in the execution of process improvements
  • Experience and knowledge of HRIS systems and reporting tools required
