About the Role:
Conducts operational and compliance quality control reviews, analysis and testing to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls to ensure operating objectives are achieved and the business unit is in compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations. Provides subject matter expertise to business units to improve processes and/or manage related risks.
- Performs quality control testing of complex work product in accordance with business unit risk program standards for areas such as HMDA/CRA/Reg B/other key data elements and other applicable regulations as assigned in order provide adequate documentation for noted exceptions, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Assesses the adequacy of internal controls and makes recommendations to improve the control environment.
- Provide subject matter expertise to business units regarding operational and compliance topics, developments, processes, and issues; and work with all levels of management to facilitate and promote awareness of internal controls, regulatory compliance and operational requirements.
- Compiles work papers with supporting documentation and provides recommendations for corrective action, control enhancements and increased efficiency.
- Works collaboratively with Commercial Operations to determine specifications of the business unit quality control monitoring program. Assists with training of junior specialists.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of monitoring results for further review by Auditors, Examiners, Risk Managers and Compliance Officers.
- Stays appraised of product details as well as regulatory and procedural changes that might impact processing quality.
- Works on other projects and assignments related to Commercial Operations as needed.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field
- 2-4 years of experience commercial lending service and support or related field. Significant experience demonstrating a full understanding of all aspects of developing and implementing quality control programs. Required
- Expert knowledge of commercial lending documentation, policies, procedures, laws and regulations with ability to apply knowledge to testing, problem resolution and making recommendations.
- Strong working knowledge of HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act), CRA (Community Reinvestment Act), and Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act).
- May provide technical guidance and/or work leadership to other associates.
- Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.

The pay range for this role is $27.75 - $40.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
