Description

The Implementation Consultant is responsible for guiding clients through the successful implementation and adoption of Tyler’s Enforcement Mobile software. This client-facing role combines business-process consulting, application configuration, data analysis, technical troubleshooting, documentation, and education. The Implementation Consultant works closely with clients, project managers, implementation teams, technical teams, and third-party vendors to deliver solutions that meet client requirements, follow accepted best practices, and support effective public safety operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services—including consultation, implementation readiness, application configuration, and education—to clients using Tyler software products.
  • Lead client-facing discovery sessions to understand, analyze, and document business processes, operational needs, and implementation requirements.
  • Translate client requirements into application configurations, workflows, forms, reports, interfaces, and other project deliverables.
  • Configure Enforcement Mobile applications using available configuration and low-code tools, following product standards and accepted best practices.
  • Use SQL to analyze and validate data, investigate issues, support troubleshooting, and verify implementation outcomes.
  • Advise clients on process and configuration options, clearly explaining tradeoffs and recommending practical solutions that meet their operational needs.
  • Identify and document functional and technical requirements that may require product configuration, integration, or software development.
  • Collaborate with project managers, implementation field staff, and technical teams to plan project activities and meet implementation milestones.
  • Work closely with clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to validate integrations and support the successful transfer of data between products.
  • Troubleshoot configuration, data, interface, and application issues; coordinate resolution with the appropriate internal or external resources.
  • Support implementation and training activities by resolving critical issues promptly and minimizing disruption to scheduled client events.
  • Communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and unplanned events that could affect implementation scope, schedule, budget, or quality.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and technical teams, translating complex technical information into clear, understandable language.
  • Create and maintain accurate client-facing and internal documentation, including process documentation, configuration records, quick-reference guides, and how-to materials.
  • Provide post-implementation assistance for complex application, configuration, data, or workflow questions as needed.
  • Contribute knowledge, reusable materials, and lessons learned to improve team practices and the overall client experience.
  • Participate in company and client events, including the annual user conference, and facilitate discussions or presentations on assigned products and topics as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience implementing, configuring, supporting, or administering enterprise software in a client-facing environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and troubleshoot queries using joins, filters, aggregations, and related techniques to analyze and validate data.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, document, and translate business requirements into software configurations or technical deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues systematically and recommend viable solutions.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and knowledge-transfer skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to client service.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with clients, exercise sound judgment, manage expectations, and present clear recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize and execute multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across project teams, departments, and organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of highly visible client deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and process-documentation tools such as Visio or equivalent products.
  • Ability to learn and use low-code or configuration-based tools to produce project deliverables.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between 5% and 50%, depending on project and client needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing or supporting public safety, law enforcement, computer-aided dispatch, records management, or mobile workforce software.
  • Experience with software integrations, data conversion, data validation, or interface troubleshooting.
  • Experience facilitating software training, workshops, or user-group discussions.
  • Familiarity with implementation methodologies, project lifecycles, and change-management practices.
