Deputy Program Manager
- Demonstrate professional knowledge and application of program management skills including organizational management and business intelligence
- Perform duties as delegated by the Program Manager/s on large programs
- Lead small programs, under the guidance of Program Manager
- Collaborate with other department Deputy Program Managers as required
- May work directly with Manufacturing Program Manager and Manufacturing manager to ensure contract delivery requirements
- Provide task guidance and direction to Program Control Analyst
- Create status reports and other technical documents
- Create and maintain program schedules in Microsoft Project
- Create and maintain budgets and cost tracking workbooks
- Lead internal and external customer program reviews
- Participate and/or lead in person and virtual customer meetings
- Lead planning/execution of proposals
- Track program risks and action items while maintaining a database for each
- Work closely with financial analysts, procurement, contracts, shipping & receiving, and cost estimating on various tasks in support of programs
- Ensure overall compliance with Program management procedures and processes
- Support the work of the technical team and support staff as delegated by the Program Manager
- Monitor and report performance against plans to meet cost, schedule, and staffing objectives
- Track program risks and action items while maintaining a database for each
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and application of program management skills including organizational management and business intelligence
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, mathematics, or business administration with 6+ years of related experience, or master’s degree in engineering discipline, mathematics, business administration or related field with 3+ years of related experience
- Experience in a high mix, low volume or low mix, high volume manufacturing environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
- Must be a proven team player with excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a positive can-do work attitude
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Professional customer communication and interfacing skills; strong customer advocacy and customer-first attitude
- High level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy; self-motivated with intellectual curiosity, with regards to data and determination to work through problems
- Willing and motivated to learn; desire to understand the peripheral processes that provide input to, or derive outputs from, the support services processes
- Strong time management and prioritization skills; not easily frustrated or overwhelmed
- Ability to effectively manage multiple customer service requests concurrently while effectively discerning and managing changing priorities
- Able to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative team environment and independently
- Possess exceptional organizational, process management, and written and verbal communications skills
- Travel 5 - 10 percent
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Project
- Experience with product lifecycle management is a plus
- Knowledge or experience with Earned Value Management

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $97,000 to $112,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
