Summary:
The HSQE Manager – Operational Support implements the RES Services HSQE framework ensuring the integrated ISO practices (9001/14001/45001) are incorporated into all business processes to foster a culture of safety and quality at work sites in the US or Canada.
Requirements:
- Promotes company HSQE culture through coaching, development, influence, and training.
- Acts as subject matter expert liaison for health, safety and quality for the project team and client.
- Develops and maintains site specific documentation and templates that include the Site Safety Plan, Site Rules, Emergency Response Plans, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Site Induction.
- Delivers training on Safety Initiatives, Site Induction, Work Procedures, Work Instructions, SMS, and regulatory requirements.
- Inspects work areas to verify consistency with procedural, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicates safety related incidents to Corporate Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) Department, across business unit, and the organization.
- Conducts Incident Investigations to determine Root Cause and recommend appropriate Corrective Actions.
- Develops Incident Reports to support findings from Incident Investigations.
- Drives implementation of proposed Corrective Actions to completion.
- Maintains incident data and safety metrics to compile reports.
- Facilitates audits and inspections by third parties and regulatory agencies.
- Reinforces safe behaviors and correct “at risk” behaviors.
- Leads and supports the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing system in place.
- Operates company vehicle in a safe manner to drive to various site locations.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
- Assists in development of Risk Assessments and Work Instructions.
- Procures, distributes and maintains safety related tools and equipment for the project.
- Performs ad hoc job-related duties/functions and projects to support the HSQE Department.
Safety:
- Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
Qualifications:
- High school/GED General Education required.
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
- FA/CPR/AED Certification preferred
- CHST/CUSP/OHST/NCSO Certification preferred
- ASP/GSP/SMS/CSP/CRSP Certification preferred
- OSHA 30/501/511 Certification preferred
- NFPA 70e Certification preferred
- Internal Auditor Certification preferred
- +3 years Construction Industry Safety experience required
- +5 years Construction Industry Safety experience preferred
- +5 years Renewable Energy Industry Safety experience preferred
- ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 and relevant standards such as ISO 55001.
- ANSI/DOT/EPA/OSHA Regulations and Standards.
- Hazard Identification and Assessment.

Anticipated base salary range: $95,000 - $119,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
