Job Summary
This role combines technical leadership, hands-on delivery & functional expertise, specifically across data management, environment management, release & deployment management, and permissions/security architecture, across a globally distributed IFS platform.  You will work with IT leaders, developers, technical analysts, functional analysts and architects to drive technical excellence and standardisation. 
Accountabilities
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
  • Security & permissions architecture
  • Define and implement best practices for security management, focused on principles of least privilege, role-based access, defensibility, auditability and segregation of duty.
  • Continuously evolve the security management framework in-line with business and operational demands.
  • Define and implement best practices for security operations, request, approval and fulfilment processes, regular reviews, provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Mentor and support the BAU team in management of permission sets.
  • Provide 3rd level support for permissions related incidents.
  • Environment management
  • Define and implement best practices for environment management, including refresh schedules, data masking policies, test data management and usage guidelines.
  • Maintain environment inventories, interface mappings, configuration baselines, and platform documentation.
  • Monitor platform stability, coordinating fixes, tuning, and environment housekeeping with technical teams.
  • Ensure alignment between project environments and BAU environments to support safe and predictable releases.
  • Release & deployment management
  • Own the release calendar and manage deployments for: IFS Cloud service updates, patches/hotfixes, configurations, reports, integrations, and modifications
  • Run impact assessments, dependency analysis, regression planning, and release approvals.
  • Define and enforce release governance standards, including version control and change management processes.
  • Lead cutovers for enhancements or upgrades, ensuring repeatable and auditable deployment processes.
  • Track release performance and continuous improvement (change failure rates, release quality, deployment success).
  • Data management
  • Define and implement best practices for data migration and bulk data upload.
  • Lead data migration and data cleansing activities, validation, reconciliation and testing cycles.
  • Develop and maintain migration documentation, error logs, reconciliation reports, and audit evidence.
  • Support the standardisation of nomenclature across the platform, alongside activities to remediate data to the new standards.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
  • Technical Expertise
  • Strong hands-on experience with IFS Cloud
  • Expert understanding of:
  • IFS permissions and security model
  • Data migration methodologies and tools
  • Release/change management processes
  • Environment refresh, configuration, and integration dependency management
  • Good working knowledge of SQL/PLSQL, APIs (REST/OData), and IFS Connect
  • Process & Governance
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Change, Release, Incident, Problem).
  • Experience working in controlled and audited environments (SOx, GDPR, ISO).
  • Delivery methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Waterfall), SDLC, testing frameworks
  • Demonstrable experience of enterprise IT delivery in complex, multi-national, corporations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communicator able to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Able to manage multiple streams of change simultaneously.
  • Risk-aware, analytical, and proactive in resolving issues.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Qualifications (or equivalent experience)
  • IFS certifications in technical and security domains.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience with ERP upgrades or cloud transition programmes.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar release/work management tools.
