Job purpose
Reporting to the Global Warehouse Director, the Warehouse Assistant is involved in every aspect in the operations of our Bellshill Central Warehouse. This ranges from processing orders to final dispatch of goods and supporting stock control in our UK&I Warehouses.
 
 Key Accountabilities
The functions and duties of the role are:
  1. Goods in; receiving deliveries, checking paperwork for discrepancies, inspecting condition and quality, capturing serial numbers, moving and stowing goods, updating stock management system with records
  2. Goods out and order fulfilment: receiving orders, picking the parts, quality checking, moving and packing.
  3. Dispatch and Logistics: Booking and coordinating suitable delivery transport, using MHE safely to load/unload goods.
  4. Inventory Management: Performing routine stock taking in our Central Warehouse and assisting with the processing of remote site stock counts.
  5. Safety & Housekeeping: Ensure the Warehouse and yard are kept clean and tidy. Carry out all activities in a manner that promotes safety within the Warehouse. 
 Knowledge
  • Good understanding of warehouse processes.
  • Familiarity with Shipping and receiving.
  • Experience with MS Office Applications

  • Experience using computerised stock management systems and other digital technology.
  • Experienced and calm multi-tasker

 Experience
  • Experience with warehouse and logistics environment, systems and procedures, operation of equipment
Qualifications
  •  Driving License (Not essential)
