Summary: 

The Compliance Specialist – IRA - Field will play a critical role in supporting our project teams, and construction support departments, to ensure excellence in all aspects of execution on IRA projects. As a key component of our IRA Compliance Team, this role will act as subject matter expert for all IRA project sites and be responsible for coordinating and ensuring appropriate and efficient communication and action.

 

Requirements:   

  • Acts as the single point of contact for all IRA projects and effectively works with team members from Legal, Payroll, Apprenticeship, Compliance, and others to ensure communication and resolve any challenges at the project level.
  • Coordinates with site teams to ensure proper subcontractor management.
  • Monitors Subcontractor certified payroll submissions and apprentice percentage based on their contract.
  • Functions as the primary contact for management, project teams, subcontractors, and

workforce agencies for IRA apprenticeship and certified payroll questions.

  • Creates reports and delivers updates to management on a regular basis.
  • Serves as a liaison and provides program recommendations to the site management team to drive successful compliance within the construction IRA business.
  • Ensures that projects remain IRA compliant through collaboration with both the project and apprenticeship teams.
  • Manages internal Audits and reports on a per-project basis, which includes apprentice metrics, ratios, apprentice hours, subcontractor information, certified payroll submissions and more.
  • Supports delivery of documents with clients and compliance requests.
  • Attends project specific meetings and communicates out to IRA site Leadership as

appropriate.

  • Assists other IRA Compliance Team members in problem resolution, as necessary.
  • Stays up to date on industry standards, regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Supports IRA training for IRA site teams and sub-contractors.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Engages in continuous improvement opportunities and evaluates/implements ways to better communicate cross functionally.
  • Ensures growth and development with RES and its core values.

 

Safety:

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in construction management, business, engineering, or equivalent degree, or military/education/relevant work experience combination is required.
  • 3+ years' experience in compliance programs is required.
  • Ability to travel 15-30% is required.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Oral and written skills to include:
    • Clear and concise technical writing
    • Ability to communicate issues internally with reporting manager and team to present possible solutions.
    • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experience in compliance programs preferred
  • Experience working with Public Works Administration or Prevailing Wage Projects preferred
  • Experience with registered Apprenticeship programs preferred
  • Effective communication skills across a diverse group
  • Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) with data analysis and reporting background in Excel
  • Proficiency of office practices, procedures, and equipment
  • Licensed, journey or technician-level knowledge and skills in the electrical or similar trade
  • Experience working with the Inflation Reduction Act preferred
  • Classroom training facilitation experience preferred
  • Functional competencies include attention to detail, teamwork, responsibility/stewardship, managing vision and purpose, and ethics & integrity.

 

Anticipated base salary range:  $72,000 - $91,000

 

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
