Job Summary
The Group Lead for P&C Reporting and Analytics will play a critical role in shaping data-driven decision-making across global P&C operations. This position will own the end-to-end delivery of P&C data products (from source systems into governed, analytics-ready data sets, semantic models and reports – build and run). It translates HR definitions and business requirements into implementable specifications and coordinates delivery across data engineering, semantic modelling and PowerBI. It ensures privacy by design for P&C data in the analytics platform. 
You will deliver compliance-focused global data creation to deliver actionable insights to senior P&C leaders and the Executive Committee and Board. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of P&C processes, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful data products.
 
You will report into the Reporting and Analytics Lead in the Group Data and Analytics Team, with a dotted line to the Vice President, Global P&C Operations. The role will work closely with senior leadership in both functions identifying requirements and developing solutions.
 
This role is hybrid – based on-site in the Kings Langley Office, UK a minimum of 3 days per week.
 
Accountabilities
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
  • HR Data Product Delivery (build): lead the technical delivery for P&C data sets from source systems (i.e. IFS) into Fabric/Azure/Synapse: landing – curated – semantic. Define and maintain the HR data model and the onboarding approach for future systems and model development. Produce implementation ready specifications for engineers/modellers.
  • Semantic model enablement: Own the P&C portion of the certified semantic layer design (measures, calculations, role-based access). Support the build and maintenance of data models that deliver P&C metrics.
  • Data quality, reconciliation and certification controls: implement and run the P&C data quality work in Azure and using other data quality tools such as Purview. Define reconciliation routes to named operational reports. Own the certified reports.
  • P&C Data platforms and source system integration – evaluate source systems to enable accurate and timely, consolidated Group/Global data into one consistent quality view.
  • Power BI and Dashboard Development - Design and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor P&C metrics, workforce trends, and key performance indicators.  Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and accessible to global stakeholders. Drive alignment and standardization among global stakeholders with diverse perspectives.
  • Data Analysis/Analytics: Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in processes. Provide evidence-based recommendations to support strategic workforce planning and organisational development.  Provide scenario analysis to support decision-making on organisational structure and resource allocation. Provide evidence-based insights on people issues and business concerns, enabling informed decision-making and proactive solutions.
  • Insights for Leadership:  Deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to senior P&C leaders and the Group Senior Director of Data and Analytics, highlighting trends, correlations, risks, and actionable insights.  Support strategic initiatives with data-driven evidence and predictive modelling. 
  • Governance, Security, Privacy and Compliance – Ensure products and work comply with relevant legislation, regulation and policies and maintain up-to-date policies and frameworks. Lead governance initiatives, to ensure consistent data definitions, quality, security, privacy and stewardship across all regions, working with the Group Data Governance Lead.
  • Stakeholder Management and Working Group cadence: Run working group and work with business partners to achieve results. Act as a single technical point of coordination between P&C stewards/owners, IFS, IT security and the data team. Work closely with key People & Culture and data and analytics counterparts and stakeholders to ensure effective support and collaboration in data development and analysis.  Align with data and process owners on requirements and data sources.
Skills
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
  • Advanced technical P&C data and analytics skills; including data modelling, reporting, visualisations and presentation of data.
  • Delivering global data and analytics work with P&C systems and ensuring data integrity and quality outcomes at a global level.
  • Azure Data and Analytics Platform for P&C data.
  • Working with stakeholders to build P&C business requirements and specifications for technical implementation into a data platform build. Leading and facilitating working groups and governance forums requirements excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Planning and organising skills and programme management to deliver multiple streams of work simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed fast paced environment' across cultures and time zones.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in P&C analytics, visualisation, modelling, reporting including the Microsoft suite, with extensive hands-on technical experience.
  • Strong background and extensive experience in data governance and management for P&C data including security, privacy, ethics and data quality.
  • Strong background and extensive experience in P&C data quality improvements including evidenced development of data quality across multiple countries and disparate systems, building lineage, data quality metrics and standardisation to give a consolidated and accurate global view. Evidence high impact outcomes i.e. efficiency savings, reduced manual outputs.
  • Prior experience in P&C systems is essential (ideally Cornerstone, IFS, Paylocity & Cloud pay)
  • Experience deploying AI/ML and Data Science for P&C is essential.
  • Extensive experience delivering reporting and analytics in a global organisation and building a single source of truth for P&C data that is used to inform strategic, tactical and operational decision making, reduce costs and improve performance. Evidence high impact outcomes.
  • In depth knowledge and practical implementation of compliance frameworks and global employment regulations.
  • Knowledge of international data standardization frameworks for harmonizing P&C data definitions, taxonomies, and formats across regions.
