What We're Looking For:
- Top-Tier Talent: You come from a leading law firm or in-house team and have demonstrated excellence in your field capable of providing comprehensive advice across various business areas. You excel in coordinating transaction documentation, managing information with precision and fostering a collaborative and empathetic work environment.
- Passion for Financial Services & Government Projects: While direct experience isn't necessary, a strong interest in financial services, capital markets, and government projects is a must.

What You'll Do:
- Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for the legal team, handling inquiries and requests with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Legal Advice: Provide comprehensive legal advice across various business areas, ensuring compliance and sound judgment.
- Transaction Documentation: Coordinate and execute transaction documentation for funding and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal guidelines.
- Information Preparation: Prepare, format, and distribute internal and external information, including letters, memos, reports, and presentations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Team Contribution: Actively contribute to team and corporate initiatives, fostering collaboration, innovation, and superior results, aligning with stakeholder requirements and QTC culture.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Tertiary Legal Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent), providing a solid foundation in legal principles and practices. Admission as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland (or other Australian jurisdiction) and current Queensland Practising Certificate (or immediate eligibility to obtain a Queensland Practising Certificate).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills for effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels with diverse backgrounds.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in drafting legal documentation and information preparation.
Desirable:
- Experience in private practice or in-house roles, particularly in corporate or banking and finance law.
Experience:
- Essential: This position would best suit a junior lawyer with a minimum of 2 years PAE. However, applicants at other levels are welcome to apply.
