Software Engineer - Data Analyst Role 

 

Join our dynamic Performance, Scalability, and FinOps team as a Software Engineer - Data Analyst, where you’ll help shape the success of our SaaS platform. You’ll have the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and financial efficiency, ensuring our platform scales effectively while enabling others to make informed architectural decisions. 

 

Using Qlik Sense for data analytics, you’ll dive into SaaS scalability and efficiency, collaborating closely with R&D teams to build a high-performing, cost-optimized platform.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

 

  • Cloud resource optimization: Review and analyze cloud usage patterns, proposing optimizations that drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Cost-focused analytics: Develop and maintain analytics apps in Qlik Sense, giving valuable insights to yourself and others.
  • Automation and workflow improvement: Script and automate workflows, making operations smoother and more efficient.
  • Collaborative impact: Work closely with finance, operations, and technology teams to ensure our platform is not only scalable but cost-effective.
  • Educational influence: Create reports and educational content that guide teams across R&D on optimizing costs and scaling effectively.

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

  • At least bachelor’s degree in computer science, industrial engineering and management or similar field.
  • 2+ years well-documented experience as Software Developer/DevOps Engineer/SRE.
  • Strong interest in Data Analytics 
  • Experience with containerized deployments and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm, Docker).
  • Experience building end-to-end solutions as a Software engineer.
  • Experience from working in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) with knowledge in the domain of infrastructure, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Interest in SW architecture from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Decision-making and initiative-taking abilities.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/coding language.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work with geographically distributed teams across various time zones.
  • Strong at verbal and written communication.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • FinOps practitioner certification and/or experience from FinOps related work.
  • Experience from Qlik Sense development.
  • Familiarity with metrics and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • AWS cloud practitioner certification
  • Exposure to or understanding of machine learning concepts.
