The Principal Solutions Architect Role

As a Principal Solutions Architect at Qlik, you'll be a key player in our Presales Organization, collaborating with various teams and staying at the forefront of the latest developments in the Data & Analytics market.   • Dynamic Responsibilities: Take ownership of technical relationships and the sales cycle, showcasing the technical and business value of Qlik's next-generation data analytics and data integration platform.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with key stakeholders of our customers through exceptional solution presentations and custom demonstrations. Position proposed solutions to technical, end-users, operations, and senior management staff.
  • Innovation and Collaboration: Stay on top of Qlik's latest product developments and competitors in the Data & Analytics market. Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Product, Consulting, and Customer Success teams.


Here’s how you’ll be making an impact: 


  • Technical Ownership: Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of technical relationships and the technical sales cycle.
  • Sales Qualification: Technically qualify and contribute to closing sales opportunities with Qlik's data analytics and data integration platform.
  • Presales Activities: Perform presales activities aimed at driving regional revenue, including delivering exceptional solution presentations and custom demonstrations.
  • Solution Positioning: Position proposed solutions to various stakeholders within the prospect's organization.
  • Proof-of-Concept Execution: Ensure successful execution of Proof-of-Concepts to prove the value of Qlik's solutions to prospective customers.
  • Regional Business Development: Support regional business development activities.


We’re looking for a teammate with: 


  • At least 10 years of experience in a Pre-Sales and/or consulting capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with the SAP ERP/BW system. Experience with S/4 Hana and SAP BW/4HANA is necessary.
  • Hana Scripting, SAP Basis administration, and ABAP programming experience are required. Experience with Qlik Data Integration SAP product Endpoints is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of areas like Data Integration (ETL), Data Quality (DQ), Data Governance, iPaaS, and/or Big Data. Working knowledge of Talend ETL tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for both business and technical audiences.
  • Highly driven with strong interpersonal skills. Proven track record of developing relationships at technical, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprises.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex opportunities.
  • Good experience in BI & analytics. Familiarity with cloud solutions like SaaS, PaaS, and iPaaS.
  • Good web development background (SQL, RDBMS, Java, HTML5, .NET) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of Machine Learning tools and their usage, such as Python/R.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25 - 50% and ability to travel internationally if required.
