The Business Strategy & Value Engineering Advisor Role


As a Business Strategy & Value Engineering Advisor in the Sales Organization at Qlik, you play a crucial role in collaborating with the sales team to develop, expand, and accelerate strategic sales opportunities. Your expertise in value engineering, strategic analysis, and ROI/TCO assessment will contribute to the success of Qlik's transformative solutions.

  • Strategic Sales Support: Drive strategic sales opportunities by leveraging value proposition discovery and value engineering, enhancing Qlik's impact.
  • Problem Identification: Identify critical business problems where Qlik solutions can offer significant customer value, aligning with organizational goals and industry imperatives.
  • Collaborative Workshops: Collaborate with Account Managers and Customer Success Managers to pitch, plan, and execute business value acceleration workshops. Identify strategic analytics initiatives and build roadmaps aligned with clients' business objectives.
  • Use Case Development: Translate customers’ strategic priorities into high-impact Qlik use cases, demonstrating associated ROI/TCO or value propositions.


Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:


  • Performance Measurement: Establish measurable performance indicators for the value of Qlik’s technology portfolio in data integration and data analytics / AI, aligning with customer business needs.
  • Best Practices: Identify and build best practices for Business Strategy and Value Engineering, enabling scalable implementation across sales, pre-sales, and customer success teams.
  • Collaboration Across Units: Work with counterparts in Data Integration and Data Analytics units to drive and apply value in strategic sales plays.
  • ROI/TCO Tools & Models: Develop and maintain ROI/TCO tools and models used by Qlik sellers, partners, and customer success managers.


We’re looking for a teammate with:


  • 7+ years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, financial/investment analysis, or related roles.
  • Strong foundation in modern data strategy and technology, covering SaaS & Cloud, Data Integration, Data Engineering, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and modeling of ROI/TCO concepts to justify business cases.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for qualitative and quantitative business cases.
  • Must be self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to customer success.
  • Strong leadership and experience managing internal and external executive-level relationships (e.g., CIO, CTO, CFO, CMO).
  • MBA qualification would be advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required.
