The PENTA Building Group is searching for a Human Resources Manager to join our Human Resources team in Las Vegas, NV!  
 
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services, policies, and programs. This role supports the HR Director by implementing strategic goals and initiatives that align with the company’s objectives. The HR Manager plays a critical role in employee relations, compliance, public access, and fostering a positive work culture while also contributing to long-term HR planning and development. 
 
At PENTA, an HR Manager: 
 
  • Collaborates with the HR Director to develop career goals, performance plans, learning and development programs and initiatives, and growth opportunities for HR team members.
  • Supports and advises HR team (HR Coordinator and HR Generalists) and other management staff on complex, specialized, and sensitive issues, such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations, and managing terminations.
  • Provides support and coaching to HR Generalists, Management, and employees to address sensitive employee relations issues. Handles investigations into sensitive situations and provides plans to resolve or accommodate them.
  • Collaborates with payroll team to process benefit deductions.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices by reviewing policies, trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manages and provides accurate reports including the EEO-1 report and other human resources related compliance reports.
  • Maintains and updates company policies and employee handbooks to ensure they are following state regulations.
  • Provides support and guidance to employees.
  • Coordinates and oversees annual HR training and development programs, including Unlawful Harassment and other mandatory training required by state and federal regulations.
  • Manages process for all exiting employees.
  • Oversees the immigration and visa program.
  • Designs and implements effective systems, tools, and processes to enhance departmental efficiency and organization. 
 
We trust that you have:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, and/or 10 to 15 years of human resources relative/related experience.
  • 5 or more years managing a team in multiple states is required.
  • Construction Human Resources background highly desired, but not required.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR concepts, practices, procedures, and employment laws is required.
  • Knowledge of California employment laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent detail and organizational skills, time management, and ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and understanding of statistical data and mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with ATS, Viewpoint, web-based applications, Microsoft Office, and basic accounting skills.   
  • Capability for periodic travel to project sites and regional locations.
