Position overview:


The Project Manager – International Supply Chain & Procurement will report directly into the Senior Director SC & Procurement to lead and own all vendor facing projects. The key initial focus will be on Logistics transformation through 2022 and beyond in addition to projects supporting cycle time compression and improved implementation of resource and localization activities. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced Project Manager that will hold stakeholders of all levels to account in order to deliver on time all projects that will benefit our customers and Optimas.



Main responsibilities:


The Project Manager will be responsible, but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Lead all SC and Procurement projects including the Logistics transformation project; New Customer introduction into SC / Procurement teams; resourcing phase in/out deployment.
  • Support team and department managers in the implementation and deployment of organizational initiatives;
  • Strong cross-business unit / functional IT communication, influencing and negotiation to drive project results;
  • Share project information with key stakeholders for decision making;
  • Ensures that business requirements are captured accurately and completely;
  • Ensuring project closure including completion of lessons learned and required documentation;
  • Develop, communicate and follow up on action items an deliverables to completion;
  • Develops project estimates, plans and approaches to manage end-to end project execution;
  • Generate and track milestones; evaluating project issues and assisting with resolution;
  • Guide all supply chain & Procurement initiatives across all levels; product changes, logistical changes, vendor changes, and more.

  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of customs related environments
  • Good understanding of current and emerging Customs and Departmental policies, processes, and procedures
  • Good analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
  • Able to contribute to the development of new ideas and appropriate solutions for implementation
  • Previously working to deadlines, timetables, multi-tasking and priorities
  • Experience with managing HMRC contacts and communications

Skills and Qualifications:

                      5+ years of relevant experience, preferable within a manufacturing, logistics or supply chain space;

                      Analytical, detail oriented, intuitive/initiative; will work closely with our BI and Finance Analysts;

                      Broad supply chain experience, such as new product introduction, supply planning, demand management and forecasting, Logistics management; Procurement functions.

                      Ability to partner at senior levels to design and implement programs and solutions;

                      Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred;

                      Bachelors or MBA in Supply Chain or equivalent experience in SC/Logistics or Procurement;

                      Knowledge of business systems and tech for managing supply chain;

                      Has lead the implementation of new organizational processes aligned with ERP configuration.

                      Experience in executing “Continuous Improvement” projects
