About the Role
We are seeking a Vice President of Public Sector Sales responsible for leading the sales motion for all federal, state, local government and education organizations in North America coordinating our efforts in achieving topline revenue targets and profitability. You will partner with the CRO to further develop our strategy into federal targets and to expand the reach of our current SLED initiatives.
As the senior leader you will mentor and coach the growing Public Sector team guiding them through onboarding, enablement, and adoption into the sales matrix. Your team will build and grow Public Sector revenue- in alignment with our Fed Ramp expansion and certification.
Location – We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are in the state of Maryland or Virginia.
What You’ll be Doing
- Own and scale the full NA Public Sector revenue portfolio across Federal and SLED, with executive accountability for segment performance
- Evolve the existing Public Sector team into a nationally scaled growth engine, formalizing segmentation, coverage strategy, and capture discipline
- Translate FedRAMP authorization into accelerated Federal adoption, multi-year contracts, and expanded agency footprint
- Drive internal brainstorming, analyzing, and identifying partnership opportunities, strategy development, prospecting, deal structuring, negotiation, and implementation
- Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players, relevant products, and technologies
- Help grow the playbook - in collaboration with team members and leadership, continue to cement learnings and actively solve for blockers in the customer journey
- Research market conditions to develop sales goals and marketing strategies
- Shape long-term Public Sector investment strategy, including hiring roadmap, channel ecosystem development, and contract vehicle prioritization
- Leading collaborator in designing go-to-market product, pricing, and promotion solutions appropriate for the Public Sector in unison with product, marketing, and the executive team
- Institutionalize executive-level deal strategy and forecasting rigor to support predictable, durable ARR growth
About You
- 15+ yrs enterprise SaaS sales experience, including 8+ yrs leading and scaling Federal or Public Sector teams with demonstrated ownership of multi-million ARR segments
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to obtain security clearance if needed, TS SCI
- Ability to liaise with and motivate individuals at all levels of the company. Comfortable working with multiple teams and stakeholders - from individual contributors to senior executives across internal and external teams
- Successful track record bidding and winning sales through the RFP process
- Substantial background in relevant computer technology concepts
- Polished verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt to multiple audiences
- Solutions focused and collaborative, you are a problem solver and create winning outcomes for the company and our partners
- Sales star and master negotiator - You are a great salesperson with sales methodology knowledge who will be the role model of sales excellence for the team. Your extensive experience will allow you and others to skillfully negotiate wins internally and externally while maintaining strong relationships

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For roles based in Maryland the base salary hiring range for this position is $240,000 to $300,000 per year with On Target Earnings of $480,000 to $600,000 per year.
