Position Summary:
The Trade Quality Control Analyst is responsible for daily audit, review, and verification of departmental responsibilities. This individual’s primary role is to ensure that all instructions from managers, clients, and other parties are executed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. In all, this position is crafted to minimize risk, capital loss, and deviation from policy and procedures. This hybrid position is located in San Francisco, CA. The hours are 5:30am PT to 2:30pm PT (east coast trading hours).
 
What you will do:
Model Change Trading Review 
  • Verify investment action replies from model providers
  • Review and reconcile incoming investment action e-mails
  • Verify all model change activity has been performed correctly
  • Verify model only programs have been updated accurately
  • Verify and audit trade details from investment actions (ticker, weight, and side)
  • Monitor and review investment action working prices
  • Compare Vestmark transaction details (e-mails quantities, execution quantities, price, and side) 
Account Specific Trading Review 
  • Tax Harvesting – monitor process and verify all requested losses/gains have been traded correctly
  • Verify new accounts have been traded
  • Verify that all withdrawals and deposits have been processed
  • Verify all liquidations have taken place
  • Verify all styles changes have been traded 
Alert-Based Trading Review
  • Check multi-strategy accounts for sleeve/allocation drift
  • Check all accounts for security/position drift
  • Monitor and review high/negative cash accounts
  • Model reconciliation review
  • Proactively work to collaboratively support daily departmental functions.
  • Contribute to general risk management, improvement in execution, and procedural development.
  • Support and help reinforce team-based culture with focus around policy and procedural adherence.
  • Metric tracking, coordination, and review.
  • General record keeping.
  • Business Continuity Plan (BCP) support and administration.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree and/or CFA or other professional designation desirable.
  • Attention to detail, strong communications, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to evaluate multi-faceted challenges and perform complex situational analysis to effectively discuss and/or propose optimal solutions.
  • High level of accuracy required. Risk awareness and strict attention to procedural adherence is a MUST.
  • Phenomenal teammate, professional and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to handle deadlines, stress, and time critical situations.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.
  • General securities trading and related operational practices.
  • Experience with wrap / separately managed account (SMA/MDP/UMA) and related portfolio management and administration activities.
  • Experience using multiple trade order and portfolio management & administration systems including Vestmark, Investcloud/APL, etc.
  • Experience with standard market data platforms (Bloomberg, Factset, etc.).
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory issues and general regulatory landscape is preferred.

In accordance with the California salary transparency law, the expected annual base salary for this San Francisco, CA, United States-based position is $55,000.00 - $95,000.00. Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Natixis sponsored benefit programs.
