Collaborates with the Director to ensure positive outcomes and ongoing program development/improvement. Collaborates with the Director regarding development, implementation, and evaluation of the program. Makes recommendations to the Director regarding resources that could enhance student learning. Maintain a positive certification exam pass rate. Communicates to students any known job opportunities. Engages students and provides counseling when needed to promote a positive retention/completion rate. Administers student course evaluations on the last day of the program. |

Performs programmatic duties as assigned. Documents students� attendance, participation, and academic progress by giving and grading assignments, projects, quizzes and/or examinations that lead to a final grade. Submits student attendance and grades spreadsheet to the Director by the assigned date. Enters grades in on-line gradebook by assigned date. Supervises students in the clinical settings. Participates in and contributes to curriculum development through planning, developing, and evaluating existing course objectives and CNA certification exam content specifications. Participates in the development and implementation of academic policies, guiding principles, and functions in accordance with the program mission. Makes suggestions for resource purchases. Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, and confidential issues. Submits student documents to be filed at the school. Maintains student confidentiality according to FERPA. Performs other responsibilities requested by Director. |
Provides quality instruction to students. Prepares class lectures, instructional materials, assignments and assessments to help students grasp course content and how it integrates with overall student learning outcomes. Teaches courses according to the CAN certification exam content specifications and program learning objectives. Starts and ends classes on time. Creates a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation. Knowledgeable of academic curriculum. Ability to teach and control the behaviors in the classroom.
Additional experience requirements Experience teaching adults OR experience supervising CNAs. Preferred minimum of two years’ experience in health care as an LPN or RN. Knowledge of short and long-range planning and development, quality indicators and analysis, and assessment methodology. Additional Certification & Licensures details LPN or RN credentials in good standing. | ||||||||||
