Stationary Engineer

Description:
Operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration and mechanical systems in buildings. Monitors meters, gauges, controls and building automation systems to ensure that equipment is operating effectively, safely, and within established limits. Responds to faults and make repairs. Prepares operating reports and charts to track and document equipment status and performance. Conducts failure analysis of parts and equipment to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures. Reports to a supervisor but works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
Experience:
Must be computer literate, proficient in MS Office products and Building Automation Software. Must have experience using BAS and Fire Alarm such as JCI Metasys and Siemens, Primex a plus. Understanding of The Joint Commission, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 99 Hospital Code and ASHREA 170 along with other codes and standards related to healthcare.
Qualifications:
- Requires at a minimum a high school education and vocational training
- Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or appropriate work experience can be used to supplement education
- EPA Universal Certification Required
- Boiler Operator License Required
- Valid TN Driver’s License Required
- Requires 9-14 years of related experience
