Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Office Duties Performs various clerical duties as required Completes required forms to document test results includes interpretation of test and observation of patient in file chart Completes entry in Logbook after each test Operates Hospital computer system Schedule patient appointments and answers phone with proper etiquette Correctly performs various clerical duties as required |
Patient Assessment Receives patient assignments and follows schedule accordingly Monitors computer for requests and sets schedule accordingly Responds to requests from Hospital, Emergency Room and Clinics Verifies patient identification before beginning procedures |
Test Preparation Prepares patient and equipment for tests Obtains pertinent patient information (medical history, symptoms, etc)Explains exam procedures to patient Properly position patient on bed, instructs patient to perform breathing maneuvers as required to acquire images
Additional education requirements Graduate of an accredited program in echocardiography.
Additional Certification & Licensures details Active certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registry eligible and must complete within 1 year of employment. Cardiovascular credentialing (CCI). | ||||||||||||||||||
