Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Full-time RN Clinical Nurse Educator for our Med/Surg departments!
Nashville General Hospital is seeking a full-time RN Clinical Nurse Educator to support our Med/Surg departments. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating education programs that support nursing staff development, new hire orientation, clinical competency, and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong Med/Surg experience, a passion for education, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines to drive clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver education programs for nursing staff, students, and new hires
- Support orientation, competency validation, and unit-specific training initiatives
- Partner with nursing leadership and quality teams to address care issues through education
- Create and update training tools, materials, and evaluation processes
- Deliver engaging, high-impact training aligned with organizational goals
- Support ongoing staff development, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; Master’s in Nursing preferred
- Active Tennessee RN license or compact state license
- BLS Instructor certification within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing education, quality, or professional development
- Knowledge of program development, quality indicators, data analysis, Joint Commission, and CMS requirements
- Experience with Cerner and Excel preferred
- Med/Surg certification preferred
- Certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and instructional skills
