We are looking for: 
Specialty Veterinary Clinical Manager (Departments include Surgery, Radiology, and Neurology)
MedVet Clinical Managers have significant clinical experience and have taken the next step in their technical career. This role requires a minimum of 30 clinical hours a week with the remainder of their schedule dedicated to administrative responsibilities that are focused on the development and success of their teams.
What you’ll do: 
  • Plan, organize, and manage the daily flow of clinical services, as well as prioritize caseload and patient care
  • Manage appointments: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
  • Develop and monitor staff schedules
  • Ensure patients receive quality care
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
  • Collaborate with team mentors to ensure proper onboarding of new team members
  • Work closely with management regarding personnel, staffing or clinical challenges
  • Participate in HR processes included but not limited to:
    • Interviewing and hiring process
    • Termination
    • Conflict management
    • Grievances
    • Disciplinary action 
  • Perform initial screening of client and Referral Partner concerns
  • Ability to drive the service and client service process
  • Assist in patient procedures using knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Continuous expansion of knowledge and skillset; advanced anesthetic skills include arterial line placement, epidurals, difficult airway intubation, and critical case management
  • Lean on thorough understanding of physiology and pharmacology to facilitate delivery of appropriate anesthetic care for high risk patients or procedures
Who you are:  
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Animal Sciences, Veterinary Technology or a related field required
  • Registered Veterinary Technician preferred
  • Prior veterinary experience required, experience in Surgery or Anesthesia desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as client service skills and phone etiquette
  • Ability to inspire, teach, multitask and be a highly functional team member
  • Self-motivated and able to work successfully autonomously, as well as a team member
  • Sense of urgency, critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Effective patient restraint
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
