Human Resources Coordinator (Hybrid Eligible)

We are seeking a Coordinator for our HR team, based in Worthington, OH. As a coordinator at MedVet, you work collaboratively with the team you support on a variety of key projects. For this role, you will provide support for a variety of our HR functions, including recruiting & leadership development as well as our HR partners, and will also be in charge of veterinarian candidate travel. In addition to supporting projects, you will provide administrative support to MedVet’s Chief HR Officer. This position, which reports directly to the Chief HR Officer, requires individual initiative, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize, organize and execute work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. And yes, you can bring your (well-behaved) dog to work!
This position requires a curious, multi-faceted individual with strong organization skills, keen attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills, project coordination and planning capabilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support for a wide range of projects and events. This could include logistics for meetings and events, process improvement work, and supporting the implementation of new systems, processes and tools.
- Perform administrative duties including but not limited to: managing multiple calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, managing expense reports, providing logistical support for meetings, and taking meeting minutes.
- Compile, create and manage regularly scheduled reporting
- Manage employee files and maintain I-9 compliance through on-going audits
- Maintain a detailed and organized workflow of all assigned projects
- Craft and develop correspondence, communication, presentations and other documents across a range of topics, including MedVet's Caregiver Relief Fund
- Serve as the first point of contact to answer, research and process request from internal team members, clients, guests, and vendors
- Maintain confidentiality – this is absolutely essential in HR role
- Responsible for office organization relating to general up-keep and supply inventory
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Our ideal candidate has a few years of experience in a coordinator, project, administrative or related role. However, we will consider a mix of education & experience that demonstrates skills in these areas. In addition, this position requires:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, meet deadlines and deliverables
- Ability to plan and execute small projects, including developing timeline, developing communications, and working effectively across the team and the broader organization
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Capability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively
- Highly professional, strong work ethic, self-direction and integrity
- Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to learn quickly and leverage past experience when faced with new problems; demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of college level courses and equivalent experience
