SECONDED SENIOR EDITOR
The role: This role will appeal to someone who has an editorial mindset as well as a healthy curiosity about the UAE’s financial sector.
Key responsibilities
- Writing, proofreading, and editing corporate communications across both internal and external channels
- Editorial ideation and client advisory
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality content
Day-to-day tasks would entail but not limited to:
- Writing and editing content for internal messages, media announcements, thought leadership communications, and brand messaging
- Interacting with client and business experts to extract editorial relevant information and opportunities
- Interviewing client experts as a basis for op-eds, press released and other content
- Writing clear, thoughtful, and consistent content for media outlets with an ability to communicate complex information for diverse audiences
- Drafting speaker notes for speeches and presentations
- Editing content and documents prepared by others to ensure correct and concise communications
- Assist marketing and communications teams in drafting collaterals such as video scripts and social media posts
Key skills/qualifications/experience
- Writing, journalism, and economic research
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Personable and diplomatic in client facing scenarios
- Strong interest and knowledge of the banking industry and stakeholders within the UAE’s economic development story
- Thought leadership writing, in particular CEO and other senior leadership communications
- An ability to learn and apply new knowledge across specialist topics
