Account Executive
Description
The Role:
To be the day-to-day contact on allocated areas for a global automotive brand, on both an internal & external basis. Delivering an efficient, effective, and profitable service. To control and progress jobs through the Agency system, keeping all departments fully informed.
Responsibilities:
Client
- Develop and maintain a close and productive relationship with relevant client contacts, acting with integrity at all times.
- Identify problems as they arise with Line Manager (Group Account Director / Senior Account Manager) and assist with implementation of a remediation plan.
- Maintain day-to-day contact with client as needed.
- Respond promptly to client requests, managing expectations in terms of speed and delivery of response, using appropriate briefing/admin structures.
- Work with the Account Lead at all times to ensure all jobs are scheduled on time and budget and monitor progress through the Agency (using appropriate admin recording procedures).
- Issue and distribute regular ‘work in progress’ reports internally and externally as required.
- Issue contact reports for key meetings and telephone conversations within 24 – 48 hours, gaining Account Lead approval prior to distribution.
- Work with the Account Lead to research and prepare background information for client briefs & presentations.
- Develop an understanding of client’s business in order to support with wider business goals.
Business:
- Has a fresh perspective on briefs and is comfortable providing ideas and participating with the relevant teams for brainstorming.
- Develop a solid understanding of integrated marketing skills through the power of effective CRM, digital and customer experiences.
- Able to present ideas to clients and internal business stakeholders with conviction.
- Expected to monitor project plan every step of the way by:
- Constantly striving to achieve company goals with passion and energy and working to achieve your full potential.
- Keep appropriate records and audit trail of all jobs and all client communications. (Delivery schedules, Billing Processes, etc)
- An unrivalled level of organization is expected so that all projects run efficiently, with other team members relying on project organization in order to meet client & projects deadlines.
- Stays up to date with market and advertising trends.
- Has the basic knowledge of any digital technical requirements to manage agency deliverables (websites, digital experiences, email marketing, WhatsApp marketing, call center ad-hoc support).
- Maintains a systematic & efficient filing system.
Professional:
- Is the ultimate project manager assistant; knows how to get it done. Go-to person for the execution of all advertising plans.
- Has a good knowledge and understanding of agency processes and the time required to complete each stage of a project lifecycle. Can independently formulate the implication of changes to budget and delivery timelines with supervision from the Account Lead.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the needs for each department (Creative, Analytics, Strategy & Tech) that will be involved in the execution of key projects. Provides key, relevant information to these departments in a timely manner.
- Effectively fields questions from various departments pertaining to a brand/project, by demonstrating an understanding of client objectives, issues and requirements.
- Owner of all internal reporting processes for their jobs are done in a timely manner:
- Job numbers
- Jobs closing
- Timesheet allocation & monitoring
- Invoicing and financial process in partnership with the financial units.
Leadership:
- Takes accountability and ownership for actions and results.
- Ability to solely handle small to medium sized campaign and assist on large scale projects.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an agency environment, digital experience is a plus.
- Understands & articulates the basics of digital advertising & marketing.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills & pro-active approach to projects.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of digital campaigns and how they are executed.
This is a 1-year contract, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and business needs.
