What we offer

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data storage, processing and integration solutions focused on the customer portfolio of applications. They play a crucial role in building and managing the data pipelines that enable efficient, accurate and reliable data aligned to the needs of delivery, support and business teams.

 

What you’ll do

  • Implement data solutions and capabilities required for optimal pipelines within the customer portfolio of application.
  • Build, maintain and optimizes data pipelines and data processing workflows to ensure the integrity of data across systems and ensuring the source of truth for governed data
  • Integrates data from / to different sources, including databases, data warehouses, application programming interfaces (APIs), and external systems
  • Create and maintain data quality standards and analysis to ensure consistency and integrity across integrated systems
  • Transforms raw data into a usable format by applying data cleansing, aggregation, filtering, and enrichment techniques
  • Establish governance and policies supporting the data pipelines to ensure quality standards are met and timeliness of data meets business need
  • Monitors and tunes data solutions, identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks, and implements caching and indexing strategies to enhance data performance
  • Implements data quality checks and validations within data pipelines to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data in transit between systems
  • Document and maintain data object mapping across the portfolio, maintaining the flow of key data objects across systems

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or related field
  • 5 years of work experience in data management disciplines, including data integration, modeling, optimization and data quality, or other areas directly relevant to data engineering responsibilities and tasks
  • Experience with data management within Azure and the Microsoft power platform required, preferably with Dynamics Customer Engagement modules and customer data

 

Systems Experience

The successful candidate must have proficiency and experience with a combination of the below with specific experience using Microsoft ecosystem for data management – Azure, Fabric, Dynamics

 

Data Management: Skills and proficiency in modeling, cataloging and integrating data across systems

 

Azure Data Services: A combination of experience with tools and concepts within the azure data services framework

 

Programming and Scripting:  Ability to write scripts for data manipulation, automation and integration within Fabric

 

Data Integration and APIs: Experience integrating data with API’s and data pipelines
