We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to design and deliver high-impact, low-code automation and analytics solutions using Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform to streamline business processes and enable data-driven decision-making.

Location: Remote - Colombia
What you will be doing:
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain automation and low-code solutions that streamline business operations, reduce manual effort, and provide actionable insights. You will leverage Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio) to rapidly deliver dashboards, flows, apps, and ETL/data pipelines that meet immediate business needs. Your responsibilities include translating business and financial workflows into automated solutions, designing scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, producing reporting dashboards, and authoring clear operational documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support international stakeholders, and balance speed of delivery with maintainability, performance, and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, build, and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using Automation Anywhere to eliminate manual work, improve throughput, and ensure reliability and scalability.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions leveraging Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio) for workflow automation, reporting, dashboards, and process improvement.
- Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources to support automation and analytics across large, distributed datasets.
- Write, review, and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, data transformation, and workflow automation with attention to performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Produce clear technical and operational documentation, including design specifications, runbooks, deployment procedures, and maintenance guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to map business and financial processes and translate them into robust automated solutions.
- Respond to ad hoc stakeholder requests by delivering tailored automation or analytics solutions with a focus on rapid deployment and long-term maintainability.
- Ensure automation and analytics solutions meet auditing, compliance, and governance standards.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft ecosystem technologies to recommend enhancements for automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 3–4 years of experience designing and implementing automation or low-code solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Automation Anywhere for RPA design, development, and maintenance.
- Proven ability to build end-to-end solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio).
- Experience building ETL/data pipelines; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for scalable data workflows.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries for reporting, data transformations, and automation.
- Practical experience handling large datasets across distributed systems or cloud environments.
- Understanding of financial and accounting workflows to identify opportunities for automation.
- Ability to create clear, maintainable documentation for automation and analytics solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-starting, and collaborative mindset with strong organizational and prioritization skills in dynamic environments.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with other RPA tools (UiPath, Power Automate Desktop).
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and model-driven apps, including Canvas Apps.
- Awareness of CI/CD practices and Power Platform ALM concepts (solution-aware flows, environment variables) — not required but valued.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud or Azure for analytics and integration.
- Knowledge of subscription-based and financial workflows within professional services.
- Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or Automation Anywhere.
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams across Latin America, the U.S., or international clients.
- Previous participation in mentorship or professional development programs.
- Familiarity with governance, auditing, and compliance practices in automation and reporting solutions.
