OVERVIEW
 
iTech AG is seeking a robust ServiceNow CMDB design and implementation expert to perform ServiceNow CMDB assessment for federal customers. The ServiceNow CMDB Architect is considered a domain expert in ServiceNow CMDB design and implementation with CSDM hands-on experience. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of ServiceNow platform best practices and a high level of experience with IT Asset Management (HAM and SAM).
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage ServiceNow Discovery/ETL jobs, application service models, define and monitor CI data health reports dashboards
  • Build CMDB data integrations and automated orchestration workflows
  • Work with application and data owners toward data standardization and standard data model
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to CMDB technical design standards
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technical team members
  • Support other ITSM processes such as Incident, Change, and Asset Management to consistently align to CMDB process and data requirements
  • Own the execution and continuous improvement of the IT Configuration framework including governance and control standards, processes, and procedures
  • Own responsibility for client technical deliverables including client design documents
  • Enforce systems design and architectural standards, maintain best practices, and drive the core principles throughout the systems delivery lifecycle
  • Work with customer managers, architects, subject matter experts, solution designers, and senior levels stakeholders
  • Collaborate with a larger group of business SMEs, solution, and technical architects to elevate technical direction for the delivery of high-performing, transformative solutions
  • Maintain ServiceNow certifications with the latest delta exams
  • Achieve additional certifications as dictated by changing business needs
  • Establish self as a technical liaison working to drive comprehensive solutions across the entire portfolio of stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • 4+ years working with designing/developing technical solutions for ServiceNow CMDB
  • Proven expertise in ServiceNow implementations, acting as a Solution Architect
  • 3-5 years of related experience in developing ServiceNow, programming JavaScript, IT service management, or other related technologies
  • Experience with core ServiceNow applications and related modules, including REST APIs and integrations
  • Experience in Agile SCRUM methodology and delivery
  • Prior experience as a Web Developer and familiarity with scripting languages including JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS
  • Keen understanding of ITIL framework and industry best practices with ITIL v3 or v4 certification
  • Ability to work in a team environment, prioritizing deliverables in changing landscape
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback, always remaining positive and focused on the goal
  • Ability to decompose complex topics and experiences to explain them using whiteboards.
  • Experience running workshops, building out strategic roadmaps, and being able to defend architectural and technical deliverables
  • Experience working with customers to understand requirements and implementing information technology solutions/initiatives/service automation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to readily translate complex technical information to non-technical audiences

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent combination of education.
  • ServiceNow certifications - System Administrator  - CSA

CLEARANCE

  • Active Public Trust or the ability to obtain a Public Trust
