Description
OVERVIEW
iTech AG is seeking a Project Manager to support our federal government customer.
This position requires one to work on-site 5 days a week in Alexandria, VA
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will use their enthusiasm and strong leadership skills to manage an array of complex IT projects and support efforts across the PMO team. High-level duties include:
- Develop relationships across OIT leadership and staff to foster adherence to PMO standards, processes, and continued confidence.
- Provide direction to teams and staff by advising, planning, coordination, and administration of information technology (IT) programs and projects across the EOIR enterprise.
- Lead effective practices to develop and implement project management processes, tools, templates, activities, documentation, and infrastructure.
- Support portfolio and program management with a focus on costs, schedules, resources, and releases.
- Assess, interpret, and apply Government and project management industry standards and specifications.
- Ensure quality products and services across EOIR components.
- Leverage experience in delivering relevant current and emerging technology ideas, and recommendations on work products and services to increase value.
- Support Directors to assess needs, provide data or direct assistance, resolve pain points, and set expectations at a certain level.
- Identify problems early in the project lifecycle allowing for failing fast prototypes and use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and recommendations.
- Manage resources, level of effort, project cost, and milestones against a project plan or sprint plan. Maintain transparent project reporting documents including supporting documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience leading projects in a consulting environment required.
- Experience utilizing Agile and Lean methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, etc.), Agile delivery/Agile-Lean Management tools (i.e., JIRA, TFS, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, etc.), and Project Management System(s) (MS Project, Project Server, Remedy, Primavera, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Deep understanding of the PMO policies and practices along with a thorough attention to detail when performing work and conscientious about project status and performance
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment, work across organizational departments, and instill confidence in the client through work quality, time management & organizational skills, and responsiveness.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels.
- Strong leadership skills, including a track record of increasing leadership responsibility and career growth in Agile project management.
- Strong understanding of Scaled Agile Framework(s) (SAFe)
- Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills; rigorous approach to project management to deliver enterprise-level projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Scaled Agile (SAFe), ScrumMaster, or Product Owner certification(s)
- Prior experience in supporting Federal government contracts.
- Prior experience using the ServiceNow Platform and Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Project Financials, and Demand Management. Prior experience using Microsoft Azure Dev Ops.
- Existing or previous DOJ Public Trust Clearance
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or a relevant field
- Current PMI PMP certification

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
