Description
OVERVIEW
iTech AG is searching for a DataPower Engineer with experience and technical knowledge in web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and Enterprise Service Buses (ESB). This role will work in a team environment. The DataPower Engineer is responsible for administration and troubleshooting.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and troubleshoot DataPower, APIs, and/or data transformation throughout the environment.
- Assist with web services, multiple protocol gateways, and additional network/gateway interfaces.
- Provide input and develop solutions for DataPower and API’s.
- Provide support troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Design, implement, document, and deploy solutions on a DataPower and/or API.
- Work with internal partners, external partners, and SMEs.
- Drive the solution discussions with customer SMEs and business teams.
- Understand client application landscape and environment for middleware integrations/technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 - 9 years of related work experience.
- 5 years of IT experience with 3+ years of experience in development work using DataPower, APIs, Message Transformations, etc.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in providing solutions in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and REST-based architecture using DataPower, APIs, or similar products.
- Experience in developing DataPower and/or API-based solutions using web service proxies, Multi-Protocol Gateways (MPG), XML Firewalls, HTTPS, APIs, etc.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ and ActiveMQ technology and integration with DataPower.
- Must be knowledgeable about certificate management and understanding of certificate deployment and installation.
- Experience using digital certificates for SSL mutual authentication and encryption.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- B.S. degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of XML, WSDL, XSLT, JSON, XML Schema, and XPATH.
- Experience in supporting and troubleshooting issues with an ability to understand the system logs and system errors.
- Good Analytical and logical problem-solving abilities and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take ownership of the task and work independently, with the team, and with application support teams.
- Knowledge and understanding of programming languages; ex JAVA, Bash, scripting, python, C, etc.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
