Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced enterprise business architect to join our team project in Herndon, VA. This role requires an innovative thinker with expertise in business process optimization, enterprise architecture frameworks, and a solid understanding of both business and IT alignment. You’ll be responsible for (Responsibilities):

  • Strategic Alignment: collaborate with leadership to interpret corporate strategy into actionable business architecture plans.
  • Process modeling: analyze and map business processes, data flows, and operational workflows.
  • Framework Development: Build and maintain comprehensive business architecture frameworks, including capability maps and process diagrams.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to optimize business processes.
  • IT Alignment: Ensure alignment between business architecture and IT strategy, focusing on system and application architecture.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Governance & Compliance: Implement governance structures to meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Monitoring: Oversee projects to ensure compliance with architecture guidelines and performance metrics.
  • Documentation & Presentation: Develop and present architecture solutions to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Technology Awareness: Stay updated on emerging technologies to inform IT infrastructure planning and support business goals.
  • Readiness Assessment: Conduct business transformation readiness assessments and address change management in implementation plans.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in IT/technology, including a leadership role in enterprise business architecture.
  • Architecture Analysis: Proven experience in business architecture analysis, capability mapping, and process optimization.
  • Policy Development: Skill in analyzing and developing technology policies and frameworks.
  • Decision Support: Familiar with build vs. buy decision-making and stakeholder support.
  • Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles within enterprise architecture.
  • Framework Proficiency: Expertize in TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, or similar frameworks.
  • Technology Domains: Strong understanding of application, data, and infrastructure architectures.
  • Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with cloud computing, DevOps, microservices, and IoT.
  • IT Governance: Proficient in GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) to ensure architecture meets industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve complex challenges with cost-effective solutions.
  • Change Management: Experience managing transitions from current to future state architectures.

You’ll have (Qualification & Experience):

  •  Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
