Job Summary
Responsible for issuing parking decals to students, faculty and staff and collecting appropriate fees.  Maintain files of all parking permits and prepare reports in Excel. Maintain a system of identifying owners of vehicles issued parking violations. Enter detailed data into a database to record and track permits and tickets. Generate and print ID cards in large and small volumes. Add, change or edit access control privileges in a secure security database.  Produce identification cards for students, faculty and staff.  Greet and assist visitors.  Answer department phones and direct calls as appropriate.  Maintain and update files in security management system.  Access confidential RMV information in CJIS. Perform other similar or related duties as assigned. Assist the Associate Director of Transportation with responding to ticket appeals, parking permit exceptions, driver certification data entry and analysis, and driver training arrangements. This position is Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week.
 
Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Professionally interface with students and employees to meet their parking permit and ID card needs.
  • Supervise work-study students.
  • Work with other departments to problem-solve transactions or processes.
  • Provide support for the parking enforcement program and the Crusader One Card production system.
  • Maintain and update files in the parking management system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Issue parking decals to students, faculty and staff. Maintain files of all parking permits. Maintain a system of identifying owners of vehicles issued parking violations.
  • Record keeping and report generation of parking enforcement and towing.
  • Ensure successful operation of the card production system for the Crusader One Card.
  • Successfully completed tasks during periods of heavy workloads such as mass production of student ID cards.
  • Replace ID cards as needed and ensure payments are completed. 
  • Update card user information in the card production system and card access system.
  • Order and maintain sufficient supplies for card production system.
  • Operate various computer systems and complex databases to facilitate the parking program and the card production system.
  • Maintain and update driver certification database and files.
  • Coordinate driver certification road assessments and training.
  • Answer department telephone and emails and direct queries as appropriate.
  • Must be able to work successfully with little oversight and with attention to detail.
  • Must have a clean criminal history and be eligible for CJIS certification.
  • Be available on weekends a few times annually for heavy work processing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
 
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma. Some college preferred.
