Culinary Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform various duties to provide meals for students and other guests following established practices and methods. Responsibilities include serving guests and assisting in food production, stocking and rotating product, setting up and cleaning food production and service areas following proper sanitation standards. Responsibilities also include the use of a slicing machine, grill, fryolator, pizza oven, stir fry equipment and/or similar types of equipment.
Assist in the set-up, execution and clean-up of catered events as needed.
Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Good customer service and communication skills are needed to provide a welcoming, friendly and professional manner to all our guests. Certification in ServSafe (food safety/sanitation) and experience/training in special food allergy meal preparation preferred. Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and 100 pounds with assistance.
Previous experience in food service preferred.
DAYS & HOURS:
Holy Cross Dining staff are considered Emergency Essential Personnel and are required to report during times of inclement weather. Due to the needs of the Dining department and the academic calendar, schedules may change. Must be flexible.
*Standard Schedule: Sunday – Thursday / 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM

40 Hours / 52 Weeks
