He/She is responsible for the development of a project/program plan and for monitoring the execution of the project/program per scope, schedule and budget. He/she will be able to lead multiple simultaneous projects or programs that are complex and is able to develop recovery strategies for those that stray from their plan. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of program management for Gigamon ThreatINSIGHT including designing, building and maintaining the project plan including scope, schedule and risk management
  • Practice effective project cost accounting to both forecast budget and manage expenditures
  • Lead the gathering of project requirements and scope in a holistic manner across multiple business functions and optimize per schedule and budget constraints
  • Track deliverables across cross functional teams, monitor progress to plan and design a recovery strategy if project deviates from baseline plan
  • Identify and establish partnerships with stakeholders to build support, secure sponsorship and ensure alignment for program outcomes
  • Evaluate program progress and results against program objectives, create or re-engineer processes, tools and/or structure to improve productivity and overall program outcomes
  • Facilitate and navigate scrum teams through changes in features, priority and scope. Communicate and manage impact to avoid surprises
  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of Executive-level presentations to support governance of high-risk projects
  • Define and lead effective program meetings to communicate status and coordinate efforts
  • Conduct retrospectives on completed projects to support improvement to process, policy and tools

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to drive communications to cross-functional teams consistently and effectively across in written, verbal and presentation formats to a variety of audiences from project team members to Executives
  • Proven ability to lead and think strategically and tactically and to build consensus to make programs successful
  • Excellent communications and technical presentation skills
  • Demonstrable ability to think outside the box to resolve technical issues and resource conflicts
  • Demonstrated ability to get complex product to customers
  • Must have a minimum of 4-6 years of product, project or program management experience supporting complex SW releases
  • Strong understanding of software development processes
  • Able to apply project cost-accounting techniques to both forecast project budgets and manage expenditures over the course of the project
  • Able to apply critical thinking techniques to analyze problems, develop solutions, build resource forecasts or handle risk
  • Ability to gather project requirements and scope across a multi-function, geo-dispersed team and optimize them against schedule and budget constraints
  • Ability to lead through influence to drive forward both the team and program, to lead and facilitate team meetings and initiatives to effectively develop plans and achieve goals
  • Ability to work cross functionally on large, complex challenges and programs with a high level of ambiguity
  • Expertise in the use of standard tools for project and portfolio management
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience equivalent work experience managing projects at technology-based companies or technical domains
  • Experienced in Agile Project Management processes. Should be able to deal well with rapid changes and feel comfortable navigating uncertain/ambiguous situations
  • Prior experience working in security or SaaS delivered data analytics products is a big plus!
