Senior Sales Director - SF Bay area
Gigamon is seeking a Senior Sales Director to play a pivotal role in our Western region based in the Bay Area. As the Senior Sales Director, s/he will manage an established and productive team, and set the strategic direction for the region to achieve revenue goals.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Management of a sales team: hire, mentor, coach and lead-by-example.
They will manage a small team of major account reps (currently 4)
Handle large installed customers like Apple, SFDC, Facebook, Wells Fargo, Sutter Health as well as drive penetration into large target accounts
Accountable for business performance and hitting all revenue and other performance targets.
Create, maintain and execute the regional business plan with goals and objectives in line with the company’s strategic direction.
Lead, drive and grow sales opportunities to both new and existing Enterprise customers.
Account management of major accounts. Develop exceptional client relationship in support of the company’s partner
ship strategy, co-ordinate resources including product and sales engineering support.
Provide timely communication and follow-up to customers and partners, consistently meets the customers’ expectations.
Develop regional channel strategy and build/run the channel model
Work effectively within a team environment to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success.
Forecasts with a high degree of accuracy through Salesforce.
Provide innovative problem-solving approaches to enhance organizational capabilities; use peer network to expand technical and sales capabilities and identify new sales opportunities.
In collaboration with Product Managers, develop short and long-range strategies for product expansion; assess potential application of the company products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for the development, implementation, and customization of customer solutions.
Represent Sales on cross-functional teams interfacing with R&D, production, and manufacturing to develop new products or enhance existing products or product lines.
Provide pertinent market and competitive information to the organization.
15+ years of experience in technology sales, with 3+ years of experience in first line management of a quota carrying team.
Proven track record hiring and leading successful teams, achieving/exceeding individual and team sales goals.
Prior experience and success developing and executing sales strategy
Experience selling to large Enterprises in the region.
Strong background building and running a Channel model
Strong background in complex security, networking, and cloud based IT solutions sets
Experience forecasting commitments with accuracy.
