Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager to join our team at Montfort Place Apartments in Dallas, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity for a multifamily professional who enjoys working with residents, supporting property operations, and contributing directly to the financial and operational success of a community. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable balancing resident relations, leasing, collections, administrative responsibilities, and day-to-day operational priorities.
As Assistant Community Manager, you will work closely with the Community Manager and onsite team to support occupancy, resident satisfaction, financial performance, and the overall success of the community.

What You Will Do
  • Partner with the Community Manager to support the daily operations and performance of the community
  • Build positive relationships with residents and provide professional, responsive customer service
  • Assist with resident concerns and follow through to ensure issues are addressed promptly and professionally
  • Support leasing activities, including prospect follow-up, apartment tours, applications, lease preparation, and move-in coordination
  • Prepare and maintain accurate lease agreements, resident files, notices, and other required documentation
  • Manage lease renewals and assist with resident retention efforts
  • Collect and post rent payments and maintain accurate resident account information
  • Assist with delinquency management, payment follow-up, notices, and eviction processes in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, prospects, and resident inquiries with professionalism and urgency
  • Assist with property reporting, administrative responsibilities, and financial documentation
  • Maintain accurate information and records using Yardi Voyager, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Work closely with the onsite team to support occupancy goals, resident satisfaction, and overall community performance
  • Step in to support community operations and team needs when priorities require additional attention
What You Will Bring
  • 1+ years of multifamily property management, assistant management, leasing, or related experience
  • Strong customer service, resident relations, leasing, and sales skills
  • Experience with rent collection, delinquency management, renewals, and resident account administration preferred
  • Professional and confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced property environment
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an onsite team
  • Dependable work habits and consistent attendance
  • Valid driver's license required
